Optimizing OpenCart Database

The only purpose, installing this plugin is to enhance
OpenCart database performance (for both users and administrators). This will reduce the page generation time by several conditions depending on the server hardware and the amount of data (products / categories / orders) in the database.

What are database indexes and why do I need them?

When you want to find information in a book, the quickest way is to search for a word or phrase at the end of the book. Once you find it, you will find out on which page (or pages) the information you need is located. The alternative is to go through all the pages and it takes a long time. Database indexes are used in a similar way, they provide information about where the requested information is located.

How is it done

Opencart makes many different database queries. Before developing indexes, we detect and analyze slow-running queries. Each index is created for a specific query and checked to make sure it makes sense. If applicable, we will create indexes that combine acceleration tables, query filters, and aggregate functions at the same time.
